About Cambridge Detective Agency Ltd
Vincent Johnson joined the Cambridgeshire Constabulary in the 1970s. After uniform and Special Patrol Group duties he entered the CID as the youngest Detective and served in various squads and also attended and completed Detective and Police Forensic Photography courses. Following his grandfather’s footsteps he left the Police Force and entered the private investigation industry, where he took the post of Chief Investigator with a local investigation company. He set his own agency up in 1986 and since that time he has been involved in nearly 20,000 cases, which have ranged from the mundane to murder to the downright peculiar.
Vincent Johnson is a full member of The Association of British Investigators and the World Association of Professional Investigators.
Cambridge Detective Agency has offices in Cambridge and has satellite offices in Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We are the longest established Company of Detectives and Process Servers in this area.
In his spare time Vincent treks and mountain climbs in the desert ranges of the Middle East and beyond.
Investigator of the Year 2012
Vincent Johnson was voted Investigator of the Year 2012 at The Association of British Investigators Conference held in York that was attended by both British and international investigators. Vincent won the prestigious award despite fierce competition from the high standard of other nominations.
The award was in recognition of Vincent’s work in a complex and very challenging missing person enquiry that was ultimately successful due to the unrelenting and tenacious nature of the investigation.
